Break is so quickly approaching!! This makes me super excited and I know almost everyone else as well. This will be my last fall break ever, being a senior, which is kinda super scary. I have enjoyed my fall breaks these past four years, its the perfect time to get away and relax.
If you have been following all the steps and advice to a more helpful life style, I hope you can keep it up!! Make sure to keep eating healthy over break, don't slack but it's okay to treat yourself! There isa big different between slacking(not caring) and treating (rewarding) yourself. Fall break is a vacation, we all deserve vacation and we all deserve to have a great time on vacation.
I know me and while I am I'll have my parents awesome homemade cooking which I will not be able to pass up on, but don't take that piece of bread with dinner (that's a way to keep up the healthiness aspect). Make sure to still make time to either get a gym or do cardio and get your body moving, exercise is good!
I personally will be going out to California for the first time, L.A. I know I will want to try the famous restaurants out there but that means I can also take advantage of the beautiful scenery and exercise every day as well!
Be happy, it's a break which means, it's vacation!!
be healthy, be happy

Planning Ahead
Don't wait until the last minute.
Don't wait until the last minute for making a schedule of your week, for going to the gym, to start eating healthy to feel good and look better.
Waiting to the last minute to make your schedule may lead to mistakes, may lead to you rushing to do something, may lead to you forgetting something that was supposed to be done. You may realize, if you're schedule is done and read for the week what you can start working on or studying when you not as busy one night or overwhelmed. Especially with mid terms coming up, plan out your schedule for the next couple weeks so you can conquer what is ahead of you. Make sure to keep up with eating healthy and enough sleep during stressful mid term times.
If you decide to wait until the last minute to go to the gym, something might come up. Whether it be a last minute homework assignment or doing something with your friends, let's be serious it will beat going to the gym. Going to the gym will make you happy, will give you energy. When I go to the gym it makes me was to seize the day and get as much done as I can for that day. Do not wait until a week or two before a vacation to start hammering gym time and expect it to show as much as it could have if you went a month or two in advance.
Eating healthy is a way of life. Do not just wait until a week or two before you vacation to think that eating healthy can lead you to that perfect body it will help but it takes more time than that. Just like working out it takes dedication and commitment to be successful and show your best results.
Be the happiest version of yourself every second you can be. Smile. Plan ahead it will help you out in this crazy life.

When It's Raining
When it's raining we may be less motivated...
We may be less motivated to get out of our comfy bed, or less motivated to not just watch netflix all day, less motivated to get out of our pajamas. Trust me there's days when the rain is pouring down and those are the exact three things I'm going to do that day. But that can't be every day and all day.
Laying in bed in your pajamas, watching netflix is perfectly acceptable for a rainy day. But why do that all day? This goes back to the balancing out your time and balancing out your day ethics. It's raining and there is nothing to do, I get that. But why not go to the gym and watch netflix? You will feel extra lazy and sluggish if you lay in bed all day. Your body needs movement. Your body wantd you to rest but also wants you to push yourself, to workout on those rainy days.
Working out on rainy days, will give you more energy. Going to the gym when it's raining will make you feel better about yourself because you actually did something for your body instead of laying in bed all afternoon. You will feel rejuvenated and refreshed. Also sometimes we like to snack on those rainy days but after the hitting the gym we will more likely want to eat healthy snacks instead of all that junk food while watching netflix.
Since you didn't have much other activity on that rainy day, because lets face it we have probably stayed inside, take that extra thirty minutes at the gym. It can't hurt you, you're already there.
Why not feel extra good about yourself when the weather isn't pleasant. You are pleasant and you can get out of bed on that rainy gloomy day.

Sundays...
It's Sunday, today is the day to end your one week with nothing lef tin you and start your new week with everything you have. Sunday is a day for relaxation, a day for yourself, a day to get a head of the week. You will feel more powerful if you are ready for what's a head of you, for what's in the week to come. Sunday is a day for planning your schedule for the week, so you can be real with yourself and with the time you have to accomplish those tasks.
Sunday is a day to rejuvinate your body after a snacking week or a weekend where you might not have made time for the gym. So do extra on Sunday, give all you have and be happy with yourself so you can be in a good mind set for that Monday morning.
Here are a few more additional things you can do on Sundays to make you be your best self. Spend time with your family and friends. Spending time with the people you love will only make you happier and itll be a great end to a long week and a great start to a new week. Go outside enjoy that weather, whether is be hot and you sweat or its fall and you can smell the bonfires burning, whether its cold and you can watch the snow fall. Help someone out who needs help. That will only help you feel better about yourself. Get some extra sleep on Sundays, we all love sleep. It improves our mindset and makes us ready to take on obstacles we might face.
Lastly for me, I go to Church every Sunday, even when I am down here at school and that makes me happy and that completes my Sunday.

Lets Be Real
Eating healthy is not always easy. We sometimes
crave that chocolate bar and the cookies and brownies or the potato chips and cheese
itz. It’s normal to crave all those yummy junk foods especially when you are
just starting to eat healthy. We grew up used to eating the yummy after school
snacks and not as much worried about healthiness and being fit.
When you first start about trying to be healthy and
nutritious you can’t limit out everything all at once or else one day you will
just cave and give up. You need to get into this routine slowly. Trade a junk
food snack for a healthy snack once a day and then twice a day.
It will become easier because once your body is used to
eating healthy food and getting the right amount of nutrition into your body. It
becomes easier because your body feels so much better. You feel so much better
in the morning, during the day and at the end of each day. When you personally feel
better about yourself, you become happier. I personally am at my best when I feel
great about what I am eating.
Here are a few tips on ways to become healthy.
1.) Find
healthy recipes that sounds intriguing and actually make it happen.
2.) Have
a workout partner (this definitely helps motivate you)
3.) Use
social media for motivation (pinterest, instagram)
4.) Find
healthy options for eating out
As I said you need to be real with yourself, so follow
closely this last tip,
5.) Start
small don’t over do it

Balancing Out Your Time
Didn't make time to work out this week, why not? If you are capable of working out, it should be a priority in your life. Some people are not fortunate enough to be able to lift weights, run, ride a bike. We, who are fortunate enough, need to take advantage of our opportunities to work out.
Working out can make your day just that much better, because you can feel that much better about yourself. What's better than feeling great about yourself? It truly is great to feel happy and feel like you've done your best each and every day.
If you have a busy schedule during the week, plan out your days, plan out your time. Health and homework are both important as well as working out. As a college student my health and homework comes first. If I can make time to be on social media, I can make time to work out and help benefit my health. Sometimes that nap makes you feel rejuvenated so take it but not too long of one. Split that hour nap into thirty minutes sleeping and thirty minutes at the gym. Then you can even feel more rejuvenated. I know that has worked for me the past couple weeks.
Balancing out your time can be difficult, even after three years of college and being a Senior it is not easy. Balancing out your time is something you need to make part of your daily schedule. Balancing out my time this year has made me happier because I have been able to make time for my health, my homework, and working out. When all these things fit into my daily schedule, I feel happy and i become a happier person.

Working Out
I grew up always playing sports. I loved running and exercising by myself and with my team. I was motivated. When I came to college four years ago, I was no longer part of a sport team. Not being a part of sport team and having to stay in shape, I lost that motivation. I would still occasionally go to the gym but not nearly as much. The days I did take myself, I felt so good afterwards but still didnt make it a priority in my daily schedule.
Well this summer before my senior year of college approached I knew it was time for a change. It wouldn't be everyday that I can just go to a gym for free after graduation. I told myself that I would fit the gym into my schedule. It's only two weeks into school and I have done exactly that. I feel great. I feel healthier. I feel happier. Not that I wasn't super happy before but I all around just feel better about myself. I don't feel guilty if I treat myself to that tempting snack because I am working hard, I am working to be the best version of myself and that deserves a reward.
I plan to keep up this work ethic, because I truly am enjoying my days. I'm taking advantage of those gym classes High Point offers, because we are so fortunate they are free to us now. Working out allows me to be happy, to be healthy, to be the best version of myself.
